ArMa travels - South Africa

We're heading south... again... on a trip that will take Marie down memory lane and introduce Arnaud to a country he's been wanting to visit for a while. The ultimate goal is to find the little boy Marie is force-feeding! As with our trip to South America (http://gonesouth120.blogspot.com), we decided to keep a blog and share our experiences. Although different from a 4-month trip... we still hope to entertain you! Enjoy! SA... here we come!

Rounding up the first week...

Hi!
Following popular demand we are updating the blog for your enjoyment. Once again internet is seriously slow and we have a rendez-vous in 30 mins... Here's a summary:

Left Pretoria for Joburg - aka Jozie - where we spent 2 days with Carmen, Dale, Tyne and little Joshua... It was great seeing them. The pictures will tell the rest.
Then it was down to East London where we rented our Toyota... Arnaud is still winding down the window when intending to change gears and Marie is pulling left stradling the yellow line continuously. Catchin up with Mel and Estelle and co. on their farms has again been great and Marie is enjoying her overdose of cows. A visit to Stirling on Tuesday had Marie crying her eyes out... She even said she wanted to go back to school.

Our 24h along the Wild Coast were stunning... again see the pics, you'll get the picture. We highly recommend Morgan Bay!

Tomorrow it's off to Graaf Reinet before we plunge head first into the Garden Route. We'll do our best to keep you updated and Arnaud will try to appear in some pictures.

Love,
Arnaud and Marie

Hola,
There is one picture I can't make out. Is it some beast half leopard half zebra? As far as I know you have not been in any game parks yet, have you? So what is it?
And how is the weather? On most pictures you don't seem to be very hot? But much better than over here!! Rain, cold, wind, storm ... And over there it is spring picking up little by little I guess?
Enjoy
Ben

Well, I really didn't think I'd feel like this, but I wish I could be there too... Looking at your pics made me feel so odd, sad and sort of sparked if that makes sense. Just got a msg from Kristy on facebook, she saw you guys in the restaurant where she works, how weird is that? I know people there are probably the most genuinely good people we'll ever meet, Mar, and we're really lucky to have the friends we have who are true life long friends etc. but please don't move there! Mumsy and I are panicking already at the thought, we'll plan an intervention man, I swear it sissi, yoo, haai!
Enjoy the rest of your trip my dear darlings and be careful, much love, many many hugs and kisses. Can't wait to see you, only 6 weeks left in Geneva! XXX
